Newlands

Newlands accommodates up to 26 people with physical disabilities in three separate households, each with their own lounges, dining areas and kitchens, plus communal spaces. During inspection, 25 people were residing there, including one on short respite. People feel safe with staff who understand how to support them safely and know how to raise concerns appropriately. Staff review and document people's risks, understand potential health threats, and work to minimise them while supporting medication management.

Care is assessed and planned following best practice, with staff receiving training tailored to individual health and support needs. The home shares learning from people's care experiences with staff to drive continuous improvement. People are supported to have maximum choice and control over their lives, with staff using the least restrictive approaches possible and acting in their best interests. Policies and systems throughout the service support this practice.
