Monson Retirement Home

Monson Retirement Home provides accommodation and personal care for up to 50 older people, including those living with dementia. At inspection, 16 people were living at the service. Inspectors found that prescribed medicines were not consistently stored, administered, or managed safely, putting people at potential risk of harm. A registered manager was not in place, with the provider's senior management team overseeing day-to-day operations. A new deputy manager and manager had been recruited and were due to start. The provider had experienced ongoing staff recruitment challenges and difficulties securing agency staff.
