Miramar Nursing Home

Miramar Nursing Home provides personal and nursing care to 21 people with mental health needs, with capacity for up to 28 residents. Staff are trained and supported in their roles, with systems in place to identify and minimise risks to safety and wellbeing. Medicines are managed in line with prescriptions, and staff are aware of safeguarding procedures. The building requires some updating, as dated décor in parts makes maintenance and cleaning more challenging.

Residents generally express satisfaction with their care and have formed good relationships with staff members. Care plans are detailed and provide clear guidance for staff on supporting each individual. While activities are available, some residents indicated they would welcome more options, and the registered manager has committed to working with people to expand these opportunities. Staff respond to residents' needs and support them to have maximum choice and control over their lives through least restrictive practices.
