Apex Care Centre

Apex Care Centre is a residential care home providing personal and nursing care to up to 40 people aged 65 and over. At the time of inspection, 28 people were living there.

The service had processes in place to protect people from abuse, and individual safety risks had been assessed with measures to reduce them. However, newly admitted residents did not always arrive with sufficient information for staff to support them safely and in a person-centred way. Staff reported and records showed there were not always enough staff available to support people adequately. Additionally, people's medicines were not always managed safely.
