Miramar Care Home

Miramar Care Home provides personal care to people, some of whom are living with dementia. The CQC rated the service Good overall, finding that people were positive about their experience, felt safe, and were supported to stay as independent as possible, continuing activities such as daily walks. Staff were trained appropriately and people felt involved in decisions about their care.

However, inspectors found risk management needed improvement: guidance for staff on managing risks to people's health was not always detailed, and learning from accidents and incidents had not consistently fed into care plans. This was a breach of regulation, though the provider had already identified some shortfalls and was putting action plans in place.
