Minster Lodge Care Home

Minster Lodge Care Home provides personal care for up to 25 adults with primary mental health needs. At inspection, 20 people lived at the home. People and relatives spoke positively about the service. Staff demonstrated good safeguarding knowledge and had identified and assessed risks to people's care and the environment. Medicine management was handled safely by trained staff, and recruitment processes were secure. The registered manager monitored quality through audits of care records and had contingency plans in place to maintain safe operations during adverse conditions.

Staff felt valued and supported by the management team. People were supported to have maximum choice and control over their lives, with staff working in the least restrictive way possible and in people's best interests. The home's policies and systems supported this approach to care.
