Meadowcroft Care Home

Meadowcroft provides personal care to up to 20 older people, including those living with age-related frailties or dementia. At inspection, 15 people were using the service. Residents felt safe and reported confidence in the staff, with one person stating, "I have no concerns and feel safe in their capable hands." Staff understood safeguarding procedures and had received appropriate training to recognise and report potential abuse.

The home managed medicines safely, with staff receiving relevant training and competency assessments before administering medication. Care plans guided staff to support people safely based on assessed health risks. Where falls posed a concern, the registered manager investigated causes and implemented preventive measures. Infection prevention and control procedures were in place, with staff trained and equipped with appropriate personal protective equipment. Staffing levels were adequate, with team members knowing residents well and completing induction periods that included shadowing experienced colleagues.
