Meadowbrook House

Meadowbrook provides accommodation with personal care for up to 42 predominantly older people, with 31 residents using the service at the time of inspection. During a Covid-19 outbreak, the registered manager maintained regular communication with residents, staff and families about safety measures in place. The manager worked closely with external healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate access to health care and equipment, including oxygen when needed. Regular calls with the local authority tracked residents' daily observation results such as oxygen levels, enabling timely care provision for those unwell with Covid. The service maintained sufficient supplies of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) throughout, with clear signage indicating when PPE was required, particularly for residents assessed as higher risk of infection. Staff changed uniforms in a designated room to help prevent cross-contamination.
