Meadowbrook Care Home

Meadowbrook Care Home provides accommodation and personal care for up to 69 people, including younger and older adults, and those living with physical disabilities, mental health needs or dementia. At the time of the CQC's targeted inspection, 65 people were living there. The visit followed concerns raised by the Fire Service, who had issued an urgent enforcement notice.

Inspectors found the home had responded promptly, replacing ineffective fire doors, repairing roof compartments, increasing night staffing and revising evacuation plans. A new fire risk assessment was commissioned, though governance systems had previously failed to spot these gaps. Residents told inspectors they felt safe, and the home overall remains rated Good.
