Meadowbeck

Meadowbeck is a residential care home providing personal and nursing care to 52 people aged 65 and over, with capacity for up to 60 across three separate wings. One wing specialises in dementia care. People were found to be safe, though staff did not consistently complete oral health assessments, care plans and risk records for all residents. The registered manager and provider implemented new paperwork during inspection and planned staff training to improve oral health care knowledge and ensure consistent records.

During the pandemic, bathing audits were not always completed, but daily records confirmed residents received support with personal hygiene needs. The registered manager updated documentation to better identify people's preferences. Several residents were affected by COVID-19, with some experiencing weight loss due to reduced appetite.
