Maypole Care Home

Maypole Care Home provides personal and nursing care for up to 68 adults, including people with physical disabilities, health conditions, learning disabilities and autistic people. The CQC rated the service Good overall, though governance required improvement, with a breach found relating to how the service was managed. A new manager had been in post for three months and had begun addressing concerns.

Inspectors found risks around skin integrity needed further attention, and many people and relatives felt staffing levels were too low, with slow call bell responses and delays to care. Medicines were mostly managed safely, incidents were investigated, and external health advice was sought when needed. Staff spoke positively about improved organisation under the new management team.
