People living there were happy and supported by well-trained staff who understood their roles clearly and demonstrated commitment to keeping people safe. Risks were assessed and reviewed regularly, and care plans described the support needed to maintain residents' mental and physical health, with changes to needs quickly identified and documented.

The home operated according to principles of maximum choice and control, supporting people in the least restrictive way possible. The environment was dementia-friendly with accessible gardens, and people and their relatives reported a wide variety of activities available.
