Maitland House

Maitland House provides accommodation and personal care for up to 24 older people, some with mental health needs. At inspection, 18 residents were living at the service.

Staff received training in medicines management and their competency was assessed. However, inspectors identified shortfalls in how medicines were managed, raising concerns that residents may not have received their prescribed medicines as intended. The auditing system in place was not robust enough to identify all medicines management errors.

The service had identified environmental risks and taken action to reduce them, though some potential risks remained.
