Gairloch Residential Care Home

Gairloch Residential Care Home provides personal care and accommodation for older people, including those living with dementia, for up to 23 people.

The CQC found the home requires improvement, identifying breaches relating to risk management, person centred care, consent, staffing and governance. Staff deployment in communal areas was insufficient, activities were limited, and not all staff received regular supervision. Mental Capacity Act assessments and DoLS reviews were not always completed properly, and governance systems failed to identify these issues.

Feedback from people and relatives was mixed, with some concerns about staffing levels.
