Magna Care Centre

Magna Care Centre provides nursing and personal care to up to 69 people, with 41 residents at the time of inspection. The home supports older people including those living with dementia, frailty of old age and end of life care. Risk management in the home environment has improved, particularly regarding portable heaters and fire safety. Quality monitoring systems now provide effective governance and oversight, and medicines are managed safely with only competent staff administering them. People reported receiving their medicines on time and as prescribed.

Staff support residents to have maximum choice and control over their lives in the least restrictive way possible. Where people lack capacity to make decisions, their legal representatives provide consent on their behalf. Residents told inspectors they felt safe at the home, and relatives confirmed their family members were kept safe and well cared for.
