Mabbs Hall Care Home

Mabbs Hall provides personal and nursing care to 20 older people, including those with dementia, with capacity for up to 29 residents. However, not all residents had sufficient and detailed care and risk management plans in place, meaning staff lacked formal guidance on the specific care support needed and how to identify risks to residents' health, welfare and safety.

While residents mostly received their medicines as prescribed, inspectors identified concerns around the storage of prescribed creams and inadequate stock levels of a prescribed pain relief patch for one person. Staff reported not feeling valued and supported by the registered manager, with some relatives also expressing concerns in this area.
