Risby Hall Nursing Home

This nursing home provides personal care, accommodation and nursing care for up to 34 older people, including those living with dementia, across accessible ground floor accommodation. At the time of inspection, 26 people were living at the home. Staff were well-recruited and worked effectively as a team, with good understanding of safeguarding procedures and how to recognise and report potential harm. Risks were generally well managed, though improvements were needed to ensure pressure ulcer prevention equipment was being used correctly and that appropriate action was taken when people lost weight. The manager addressed these concerns promptly.

Staff received comprehensive induction and ongoing training to support their development. People were supported to have maximum choice and control over their lives, with staff working in the least restrictive way possible and in line with their best interests. Residents were happy living at the home and satisfied with the care they received.
