Linden Lodge Nursing Home

Linden Lodge Nursing Home provides accommodation, nursing and personal care to a maximum of 75 people, some living with dementia. At the time of inspection, 57 people were living at the home. The service had implemented comprehensive infection prevention and control measures including temperature checks and Covid-19 screening questionnaires for all visitors, with PPE readily available. Staff used a separate entrance and changed clothing at the start and end of shifts to reduce cross-infection risks, while agency staff were block-booked to prevent them working across multiple settings.

The home prioritised maintaining residents' connections with family and friends through video calls, social media, telephone calls and a regular blog. Management maintained regular contact with relatives through emails, social media and telephone calls to keep them informed about their family members' wellbeing. Staff were supported to socially distance during breaks, and residents were encouraged to comply with social distancing guidance where possible.
