Larkhill Hall

Larkhill Hall accommodates up to 66 older people, including those with dementia, with 63 residents living there at inspection. Inspectors found continued concerns with medicines management, with medication practices placing people at risk of not receiving prescribed medicines on time or as directed. Issues included inconsistent care planning, inadequate weight monitoring for people at risk of weight loss, and inconsistencies in recording and provision of modified diets according to assessed needs. These concerns were referred to the Local Authority Safeguarding Team. While the provider's governance systems showed effectiveness in driving improvements, internal audits had failed to identify the medicines management issues inspectors discovered. The provider subsequently submitted an audit outlining immediate improvements they intended to implement.
