Lancaster Court

Lancaster Court provides accommodation, personal care and nursing care for up to 65 people, with 45 residents living there at the time of inspection. The service was clean and people were protected from the risk of acquiring infections, with personal protective equipment readily available for staff. However, inspectors noted that a recent delivery of face masks had been of poor quality, with loose-fitting masks that constantly fell down. The registered manager had already reported this concern and the issue was subsequently resolved with the supply of higher-quality masks.

When exploring staff knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable adults and reporting concerns to external bodies, inspectors received mixed feedback from staff members.
