The service had implemented robust visiting policies requiring visitors to follow best practice guidance and wear appropriate personal protective equipment, with clear communication of restrictions to residents, families, and friends. New admissions and people returning from hospital were risk assessed with care following government guidance, including bedroom isolation where necessary. Covid-19 testing for both residents and staff occurred regularly, with the registered manager ensuring those who tested positive were appropriately quarantined and cared for in their bedrooms.
