Lakeside Nursing Home

Lakeside Nursing Home provides personal and nursing care to up to 35 older adults, with 26 people using the service at the time of inspection. The home supports people living with a range of health conditions, dementia and disabilities. People receive safe care with robust risk assessments and care plans in place. Staff know people and their needs and preferences very well, and medicines are administered safely following good practice procedures. The service has systems to safeguard people from abuse, with staff trained in safeguarding and able to recognise and report concerns. The home operates within the principles of the Mental Capacity Act and maintains sufficient staffing levels following safer recruitment practices. Infection prevention and control measures follow best practice guidance, with effective systems in place to prevent and manage infection outbreaks. The provider has processes to learn from best practice research in developing the service.
