Clarendon Nursing Home

This residential care home provides personal and nursing care to up to 51 people, with a particular focus on supporting adults living with dementia. At the time of inspection, 50 people were using the service. Staff demonstrated strong safeguarding awareness and knew how to raise concerns appropriately. People reported feeling safe and secure in the home.

Care plans were person-centred and designed to meet individual needs effectively. Risk management strategies were in place to help staff support people in managing risks and identifying emotional triggers. Staffing levels were appropriate to meet people's needs safely and consistently, and the service maintained safe infection prevention and control procedures. Medicines were administered safely and staff adapted support flexibly to promote people's independence and meet changing needs and wishes.
