About Kirk House

Kirk House is a residential care home in Lincolnshire providing accommodation and personal care for people with learning disabilities and autistic people. The findings below set out what the CQC observed during its most recent assessment.

Kirk House provides accommodation and personal care for people with learning disabilities and autistic people, supporting 11 people at the time of the assessment. The CQC carried out this assessment in response to concerns and found seven breaches of regulation, including issues with safeguarding, safe care and treatment, consent, dignity and respect, and governance.

Inspectors found people were subject to restrictive practices that were not regularly reviewed for lawfulness or to ensure they were the least restrictive option, with no evidence these had been reduced or that people had been protected from emotional harm. Lessons were not always learned from incidents. The service was rated Requires Improvement overall, though Responsive was rated Good.
