Kings Lodge

Kings Lodge is a residential care home providing personal and nursing care to 62 people aged 65 and over. The service operates across four separate wings, with one specialising in nursing care and another providing care for people living with dementia. People felt safe at the home and were supported by staff trained in safeguarding and abuse identification. Medicines were administered safely by trained staff subject to regular competency checks, and risks to residents were identified, assessed and managed with clear guidance provided to staff. The home analysed accidents and incidents to prevent future occurrences and had introduced additional cleaning schedules and audits to reduce infection risks. Both staff and residents told inspectors that the management team included them in decisions about running the home, with the registered manager and assistant manager working together to ensure staff felt valued and respected.
