Kings Lodge

Kings Lodge is a care home with nursing for people with physical disabilities, health conditions or dementia, supporting 77 people at the time of the assessment. The CQC rated it Requires Improvement overall, citing inconsistent record-keeping, unsafe medicines storage, and staffing levels not always matching people's actual needs. Governance was not effective at identifying these shortfalls, and some incidents had not been reported to the regulator as required.

Despite this, inspectors found staff kind and well supported, with regular training and supervision, and a strong management team fostering a positive culture. People and relatives gave largely positive feedback, describing the home as clean, safe and well managed, with opportunities to feed back and take part in community activities.
