Ingleside Residential Care Home

Ingleside Residential Care Home, in Dorset, provides personal care for up to 17 people. The CQC rated the home as Requires Improvement overall, following an inspection prompted by safety concerns. Inspectors found three breaches of regulation, relating to governance, staffing levels and safe care and treatment, and issued a warning notice over ineffective quality monitoring systems.

Risks to people were not always properly identified or managed, and there were not enough staff to meet needs. However, staff were said to know people well, and relatives and health professionals spoke positively about the care given. The registered manager began making changes to staffing, governance and mental capacity processes in response to the findings.
