About Holyrood House

Holyrood House is a residential care home in Wakefield, offering personal and nursing care. Full details of the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.

Holyrood House provides personal and nursing care to up to 85 people, some with dementia. At inspection, 61 people were living in the purpose-built home, each with their own bedroom and en-suite facilities. The home has indoor and outdoor communal areas for residents to use.

Staff recorded and analysed accidents and incidents, though inspectors identified concerning trends in falls. They recommended improvements to staffing levels and equipment to better manage fall risks. While medicines were being administered as prescribed, medication record-keeping required improvement, with some documentation found to be incomplete or inaccurate.
