Blackwell Care Centre

Blackwell Care Centre is a purpose-built residential and nursing home accommodating up to 49 people across two floors. It provides personal and nursing care to younger and older people, including those with physical disabilities and sensory impairments. At inspection, 42 people were using the service.

Safety concerns were identified. Staff did not consistently apply their training when supporting residents, and accidents and incidents were not always reported properly. Medicines were not managed safely on a consistent basis. Night-time staffing levels were insufficient to meet people's needs safely, and staff reported needing more time to provide care beyond essential personal and nursing tasks.
