However, the CQC found shortfalls: choking management policies were not always followed, decisions about modified diets did not always properly consider people's best interests, and some safeguarding concerns were not recognised or reported correctly. Audits had not picked up missed healthcare referrals, and the provider had not always notified the CQC of required events. The provider took immediate action to address these issues after the visit.
