Henwick Grange

Henwick Grange is a nursing home providing nursing and personal care for up to 46 people, including older people, younger adults, people living with dementia and those with physical disabilities. The CQC rated the service as Requires Improvement, finding breaches relating to safe care and treatment and to governance. Medicines were not always managed accurately, parts of the environment were poorly maintained, and infection control was not consistently effective.

Inspectors found mixed experiences among people and families, with some describing prompt help and others waiting longer than they wished. People were not always involved in planning their own care, though families felt able to raise concerns with the management team. The provider responded promptly, beginning improvements once issues were identified.
