Henrietta House

Henrietta House provides residential care for up to 25 older people with physical disabilities and those living with dementia. The service is spread over ground and two upper floors with lounges, a dining room, and an accessible garden. At inspection, 22 people were using the service. People felt safe, with staff trained to recognise signs of abuse and clear procedures for reporting concerns. Risk assessments were in place to help people maintain their independence while staying safe.

Staff knew people well and supported them with appropriate skill mixes available throughout the service. When people became distressed or anxious, staff responded appropriately. The service maintained effective recruitment procedures to ensure suitable staff were employed. People were protected from infection through good cleaning practices and consistent use of personal protective equipment. Staff supported people to have maximum choice and control of their lives in the least restrictive way possible, and positive relationships with health professionals supported people's overall wellbeing.
