About Heathlands Care Home

Heathlands Care Home is a nursing home in Waltham Forest, providing care for older people, including those living with dementia. Further details on the CQC's findings are set out below.

Heathlands Care Home provides personal and nursing care for up to 84 older people, some living with dementia, across a single building on three floors. Around 62 people were living there when the CQC assessed the service.

Inspectors found a good standard of care overall. Staff understood safeguarding, medicines were managed safely, and there were enough staff to meet people's needs promptly. The home was clean, interactions were kind and respectful, and care plans were personalised.

Some infection control issues were spotted but resolved during the assessment, and a few residents wanted more varied activities, though this was already being addressed.
