Hazelwood Gardens Nursing Home

Hazelwood Gardens provides nursing and personal care for up to 36 residents. At inspection, 29 people were living at the home. The service had made significant improvements since the previous visit in March 2019. Staff administered medicines securely, with the medicines trolley kept locked and never left unattended. A medicines fridge with proper cool storage was now in place. Medicine administration records were fully completed with no gaps, signed by staff to confirm residents received prescribed medicines, and countersigned by a second staff member. When medicines were crushed for residents, this was clearly documented by the clinical lead and communicated to families.
