Hawkinge House Proactive Assessment Unit

This residential care home provides short-term nursing and personal care for up to 62 people across two floors with lift access. At the time of inspection, 57 people were using the service, with 193 admissions over the previous three months, the majority being new admissions. The service primarily cares for people awaiting assessments of their ongoing care and support needs from health and social care teams.

People using the service reported feeling safe and content. One resident said, "I'm living like a Lord," while another commented, "Yes I feel safe. I like to be independent."
