About Harry Sotnick House

Harry Sotnick House is a nursing home in Portsmouth, providing care across two units: one for people living with dementia and physical frailty, and another supporting people on a discharge to assess basis following a hospital stay. The findings below set out what the CQC observed on inspection.

Harry Sotnick House provides personal and nursing care to up to 92 people across two units. The nursing unit on the ground floor supports people living with dementia and physical frailty, while the first-floor discharge to assess unit cares for people temporarily following hospital discharge before they move to longer-term placements. At the time of inspection, 81 people were using the service.

The provider's quality assurance systems were not fully effective in identifying all concerns within the service. However, when issues were brought to the provider's attention, they acted promptly and effectively to address them.
