About Harden Hall

Harden Hall is a residential care home in Walsall. Details of the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.

Harden Hall is a purpose-built residential care home accommodating up to 54 people across three floors, primarily supporting older people, some living with dementia. At inspection, 53 people were using the service. Staff assessed risks to residents and understood the actions needed to minimise them.

People received their medicines safely, and the home maintained systems to monitor staffing levels and recruit staff safely. Safeguarding procedures were clearly understood by staff and managers.

Residents and relatives expressed satisfaction with the care provided. One relative commented that their family member was "so well cared for" and praised the "lovely atmosphere" during visits, describing it as "calm and relaxed. " The home had updated infection control procedures in line with COVID-19 guidance to protect people, staff and visitors.

When incidents or accidents occurred, staff analysed them to identify measures for improving safety.
