Grosvenor House

Grosvenor House provides personal care to up to six people with learning disabilities. At the time of inspection, the home was at full capacity with six residents. However, inspectors found several areas of concern regarding the quality of support and safety. The service did not consistently uphold principles of choice, control and independence for residents. Mental Capacity Act procedures were not always followed, and risks to people had not always been properly identified and assessed with appropriate mitigation plans in place. Care records were not regularly updated following incidents to capture lessons learned or preventative measures.

Additional concerns included unsafe medicines management and the physical environment not always meeting residents' sensory and physical needs. The home was not consistently able to demonstrate how it met fundamental principles of support, care and culture for people with learning disabilities.
