About Greycliffe Manor

Greycliffe Manor is a residential care home in Torbay, providing accommodation and personal care for people living with dementia and other physical health needs. Details of the most recent CQC inspection findings are set out below.

This home provides accommodation and personal care for up to 25 people living with dementia and other physical health needs. At inspection, 24 people were using the service. The building spans two floors with a shaft lift and stairlift to provide access.

The environment was generally safe with equipment available to support staff in delivering care and support, and health and safety checks were in place.

However, inspectors found a significant concern regarding hot water temperatures. Audits had identified that hot water taps were running at extremely high temperatures, but no follow-up action or adjustment had been made to protect people from scalding. The area manager and quality assurance manager were made aware of this issue during the inspection.
