Ganarew House Care Home

Ganarew House provides care and support for up to 37 people with dementia, with 32 residents living there at the time of inspection. Trained staff who knew residents well provided care focused on keeping them safe from avoidable harm. Risk assessments were in place to guide staff on necessary safety actions, and recruitment processes included thorough checks to ensure suitable character. Medicines were administered as prescribed with safe management systems in place, and infection control procedures were established to protect residents.

Incidents and accidents were investigated with appropriate follow-up action taken when needed.
