Staff were observed to be caring and attentive, spending time chatting with residents who appeared relaxed, happy, and comfortable. Care records were individualised and reflected each person's specific needs and preferences, with identified risks managed through clear staff guidance to prevent avoidable harm.

The home maintained a safe environment with equipment in place to support care delivery and regular health and safety checks conducted. Staff received appropriate training including fire safety and dementia care, with sufficient staffing numbers to meet residents' needs. The new provider had begun a refurbishment programme, though some areas still required renovation and decoration. Residents had opportunities for social interaction and community outings.
