Galanos House

Galanos House provides personal and nursing care to 101 people, including those living with dementia. At inspection, 80 people were resident at the home.

The home demonstrated a strong commitment to wellbeing for both staff and residents. Staff received training as mental health first aiders to support colleagues and people in their care. Activities including a book club, walking group, art club and tai chi sessions were established following wellbeing days. During periods of isolation, staff ensured residents could speak with their families daily and participated in meaningful activities to support their mental health and wellbeing.
