Gables Manor

Gables Manor provides nursing and personal care for up to 19 people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and autistic people. The service operates from a large adapted building across two floors with lift access. At inspection, all 19 available places were occupied.

Staff supported people to have choice and control in their lives, with consistent support from regular staff enabling effective communication. The home facilitated access to health and social care support in the community and encouraged people's involvement in maintaining their own health and wellbeing. Staff were safely recruited and possessed the necessary skills and experience to provide care.

However, inspectors noted that records did not consistently demonstrate whether staff supported people using the least restrictive methods in their best interests. Risk assessments and care plans did not always contain the most current and important information about individuals. The home had adequate staffing levels to meet people's needs.
