Forest Grange Care Home provides personal care for up to seven people with learning disabilities or autism. The home had implemented comprehensive COVID-19 safety measures, including visitor screening and lateral flow testing. Staff completed infection control training, and ample personal protective equipment was available with staff wearing PPE according to guidance.

Cleaning schedules were intensified, particularly for high-touch surfaces, to reduce infection risk.

The home prioritised residents' wellbeing during the pandemic by supporting them to maintain contact with friends and family. Social activities were adapted to keep people engaged and active. Staff demonstrated particular care and consideration by working to reassure people who felt anxious when staff or visitors wore masks, showing sensitivity to residents' emotional needs during challenging circumstances.
