Barkat House Residential Home

Barkat House is a residential care home providing personal care for up to 27 people, with 23 residents at the time of inspection. The home accommodates people over two floors in an adapted building with lift access and provides care to older people, some living with dementia and mental health needs.

Residents felt safe and were supported by staff who knew them well. Staff had received training in safeguarding and recognising signs of abuse, with concerns being acted on appropriately. People were supported by caregivers who understood their individual needs and preferences.
