Forest Court Nursing Home

Forest Court Nursing Home provides nursing and personal care to 68 people, with capacity for up to 80 residents. The service offers short-term care placements of up to four weeks for people recovering from hospital stays through the Discharge to Assess process, as well as 'step up' beds for people too unwell to be cared for at home but not requiring hospital admission. People felt safe and enjoyed living at the service, with risks minimized through risk assessments.

Staff recruitment included relevant checks to ensure good character, though more robust procedures for verifying full employment histories were needed. Medicines were administered as prescribed, though concerns were identified regarding the recording of prescribed cream applications. The service has since implemented measures to improve medicines management processes.
