Fleming Court

Fleming Court is a purpose-built care home accommodating up to 69 older people, including those living with dementia. The service had comprehensive pandemic safety measures in place, including the ability to divide the home into designated zones for infection control and isolate residents in their own bedrooms. Visitors were required to follow clear protocols including temperature checks, COVID-19 assessments, and PPE use, with the registered manager providing relatives with detailed information about visits and national guidance.

Staff wore PPE appropriately and had access to designated changing areas and PPE stations throughout the service. The home environment was very clean with regularly reviewed cleaning schedules aligned to infection control principles. Residents were supported to maintain contact with relatives and friends through telephone calls, video calls, and visits in outdoor garden areas. Risk assessments for people, staff and visitors were regularly reviewed to help keep everyone safe during the pandemic.
