Fieldhouse Care Home

Fieldhouse Care Home is a residential care home providing accommodation and personal care for up to 42 older people, some of whom are living with dementia. The CQC found the service was performing well overall, having resolved previous concerns about safe care and governance. Staff were described as kind, skilled and knowledgeable about people's needs, with safe medicines management and enough experienced staff, though some felt weekend staffing could be improved.

Inspectors found leadership had strengthened under a new registered manager, who fostered openness and used audits to drive improvement. People spoke highly of the food, activities and care received. Some bathroom and toilet areas needed refurbishment, with a plan already in place to address this.
