About Fernica (Residential Care Home)

Fernica is a residential care home in Bury that supports people with mental health conditions. The findings below set out what the Care Quality Commission most recently found there.

Fernica provides residential care and support for up to 13 people with mental health conditions. At the time of inspection, 10 people were using the service. Each person has their own bedroom with access to shared communal areas including bathrooms, lounges, and a dining area, as well as an outside space with a smoking area.

Staffing arrangements have improved, with the deputy manager establishing links with local recruitment agencies to ensure greater consistency in appointments. Care plans identify people's support needs and are regularly reviewed, with people continuing to receive their medicines as prescribed.
