Fairfield Nursing Home

Fairfield Nursing Home is a detached residential care home set in quiet grounds, providing nursing care, respite care, and end of life support to up to 30 people, with a particular focus on those with dementia. At inspection, 25 people were using the service.

However, inspectors found significant concerns regarding residents' autonomy and choice. People were not consistently supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives, and staff did not always support them in the least restrictive way possible or in their best interests. The home's policies and systems did not adequately support these essential practices.
