Enstone House

Enstone House provides personal and nursing care to up to 36 older people, including those living with dementia, in an adapted building. At the time of inspection, 26 people were using the service.

Medicines were not always effectively managed. The auditing system did not cover all areas of medicine safety such as stock control, storage and safe disposal. There were gaps in medicine administration records, and inspectors were not assured people received their medicines as prescribed. Risks to people's safety and wellbeing were not always managed safely, with an inconsistent approach to the risk management process. Inspectors found two broken window restrictors and an electrical heater that posed safety concerns.
